New Year’s Resolutions

What is a New Year’s Resolution?

Sarah 60lbs downNew Year: New beginning or Fresh start

Resolution:  I think it’s best to break it down to the base of the word: Resolve

I heard it best defined as follows:

“Resolve:  To make a promise to yourself that you will never give up!”

I am always surprised by the number of people who are willing to accept poor health rather than take charge of their health with nutrition, exercise and a little thing I call hope.  Basically, they are giving up!

Unwilling to consider the possibilities of putting their life into 5th gear, full throttle, and living out their dreams.

Thank goodness Sarah (pictured above) took a chance and didn’t give up.  She didn’t believe she could lose weight.  She had been doing another program for years and managed to lose 10lbs several times.  Unfortunately, never accumulative, if you know what I mean.  Her words to me were “Whatever, the worst that could happen is it won’t work and I won’t be any worse off for trying.”  All I have to say is “Bravo – IT WORKS”.  Sarah is more than half way to her goal with 60lbs of fat gone and she looks fantastic!

I’m not just talking about losing weight.  I’m talking about feeling great!  Building confidence!  Having the energy to do a little more day after day!  Engaging in your life!  Not just for a New Years Resolution, but choose to for life!  What would that look like to you?

Whether you need to lose weight or not, a nourished body out performs on all levels; mind, body, and spirit, than a body that is poorly nourished.

Consider your New Year’s Resolve….

Are you willing to keep trying?

If so, I can help.  Call me for a personal one-on-one consultation (503) 502-5851.  No obligation.  We’ll just talk about your health and wellness goals for the amazing year to come.

I like you blog. It is very good. I lost 130 lbs and I was also one who thought I couldn’t do it. I had the fears of failure and what not. In the end I succeeded though. Perseverance brought me through. I even was able to finish 7 marathons and 4 ultra marathons. anyway. Sorry for the long comment.
